Very Disappointing Experience — Not What We Were Promised Unfortunately, our stay was extremely disappointing. The reality was nothing like what was advertised. The room did not match the pictures, and the description was misleading. We arrived expecting the quality and accommodations shown online, only to find something completely different. The staff was also a major disappointment. We found them unhelpful, unfriendly, and not genuinely interested in addressing our concerns. What was particularly frustrating is that there is apparently one much nicer, well-maintained building, but I guest you cannot stay there unless you attend a timeshare presentation. This left us with the impression that the priority is selling timeshares and making money rather than taking care of paying guests and providing the experience that was advertised. And to make matters worse, mosquitoes were everywhere. This was not a minor inconvenience—we encountered them constantly and it significantly affected our ability to enjoy the property. Be advised. This is an older property that has been converted - it was nice but some things were lacking. An issue happened at arrival - staff were not very nice, borderline unprofessional. Sent me to wrong parking garage, then sent me to the wrong building, then seemingly the assigned room was occupied. We rectified the room issue. But the excessive walking (after a 9 hour drive) was just too much. Middle part of trip/stay was ok. You want to make sure your stay is on the beach side for sure, you will save hours of walking. The last night was terrible, to say the least. A crane started its set up early in the morning, and upon my return at 10 pm, they were still working. 11 pm still going and by 11:30 they started to disassemble the crane - the noise was just too much. I texted the lobby (you can’t call) and then just walked to the lobby. I was fretted by a front desk clerk and an extremely rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional security guy (eating his grub hub). They were pissed I had the gall to speak up about the quiet hours and the excessive noise. The clerk told me a few others have called and she pretended to call the manager. OK, a little bit of a difficult review to do. First impression is absolutely scary as the building is very old and needs a facelift as soon as possible. If they do that, it would make much better impression. Walking in it does feel like you’re going into a very old building however it was clean and smelled good. Initial service was great and the front desk girls were very nice. However, just be aware that this is a timeshare resort and they will push you pretty hard to try to purchase tickets to nearby attractions and restaurants as well as set you up with a one hour presentation. Once you get through this, the location is actually very good. The beach right across the street with private entrance is very nice. The beach was quiet and we thought it was a perfect location. Everyone on site were very friendly. The rooms are old style but can tell recently Remodeled. Our room was spacious and very clean. Huge bathroom and fully equipped. Nice kitchenette with refrigerator, etc. The bed was comfortable. Again I think the best thing about this place is the location and honestly the price compared to anything else on the strip.
